imATHLETE Powers Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon To Fastest Sell-Out in Event History
The 11th annual Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon sold out its 2014 event in only 32 minutes, the fastest sell-out in the event’s history. Registration was managed by imATHLETE, a sports registration company that is changing the way event organizers engage with athletes.
Napa-to-Sonoma is the flagship event in the popular Wine Country Half Marathon Series, produced by Destination Races. Following this year’s rapid sell-out, Destination Races opened up a special lottery for additional slots into the July 2014 half marathon, powered by imATHLETE’s new, robust one-click lottery system. Registration for team participation was shifted to a lottery format this year to provide better access and opportunity for larger groups to register.
